Winter Trip To Sonoma and First Ride on The Triumph 675R Daytona

Our First Romance with Brandon's Bike. We Drove from Idaho all the way to Sonama California AKA Infineon Raceway.

We didnt mind though as It was a chance to get out of the Cold white Idaho Winter and head for some warmer weather..

We rolled in Late Friday night after a 13 hour drive we set up our trailer and checked out the Paddock.

It was our First encounter with Pacific Track Time, and it looked to be a good one.

The morning came and so did the Weather! Good weather , wow it was already heating up and made it into the 70's! Vacation for these winter warriors....

Brandon went to get his Bike From Eric Dorn and the EDR Performance crew who Brandon had taken it to a few weeks prior after making the trip to pick it up from Joey Pascarella Yes this was Joeys AMA bike, Brandons Always happy to mention that.

We got the bike back to our pit and got the warmers on and race fuel in (bike was mapped to run on race gas so expensive trackdays it is ;)

We went to the PTT Riders meeting and i can say that these guys make you feel apart of the family!, they know what they are talking about and offer so much for a trackday provider.. All of these guys race AMF and offer their knowledge which is perfect when your at a new track.

Brandon spent the first day learning the track and learning his machine, I was Track support for him today and got the chance to watch from various parts of the track, this place is Amazing! never have i stood on a bridge over a track looking down into turn 1 then turn around and look up to turn 2! With AMA riders Like Joey Pascarella and various others Using PTT to get some practice in, there was some serously fast Guys out here!.

Day two and the sea fog was lingering! Great my turn to ride and the track was Cold right up to the session before lunch.. The Sun finally broke through and cleared track conditions and we were good to go! I throw my leg over the 675R and fired it up! It sounds amazing! that Tripple Barks and the bike feels so slim and nimble, I head out on track and notice the clip ons are Way to pulled back for me ( I dont know how Joey rode this thing) Straight away i noticed some suspension issues, Now im no Pascarella but i know he can jump on anything and ride quick but this bike way way to twitchy for me. After a few laps we made some changes and Brandon Instantly started going faster on it. Sonoma is a Roller coaster of a track! and on the Triumph it was a riot! Our trip was short and sweet but we had so much fun and learned so much.

Now for the Long Road home and back to the snow!
